As the introduction faded into the air, Uni's eyes met the Monkey's gaze, a blankness lingering upon his face as he uttered the words, "Am I supposed to know you?"
In that moment, Sun Wukong's mouth dropped in utter disbelief, as if it was crashing down upon the floor, "You're telling me you haven't heard of the Journey to the West, my epic battles against the heavens? None of that rings a bell?"
Uni's response came, a simple "Not at all," but the weight of those words fell upon Wukong like a crushing blow, his hands instinctively reaching to rest atop his head, a gesture of deep disappointment, as he sighed, "Oh, how the generations have fallen."
Disappointment etched deeply upon Wukong's face as , he turned his gaze back to Uni, his piercing eyes scrutinizing every inch of the bewildered individual before him, as if measuring their worth and significance, before uttering with a hint of perplexity, "After getting a good look at you... I can't imagine why I have been assigned to you."
Uni, taken aback by Wukong's statement, found himself consumed by confusion, pondering the true meaning behind the Monkey's words, questioning, 'What could he possibly mean by "assigned"?'
While Wukong continued his analytical appraisal, Uni's attention gravitated toward the once towering pillar that now stood diminished, reduced to a mere cane-like structure. Compelled by curiosity, Uni approached it, his eyes fixated upon the relic of power. Sensing his intrigue, Wukong's face lit up with a mischievous grin, his eyes twinkling as he remarked, "Ah, it seems my Jingu has captured your curiosity. Why don't you give it a try, attempt to lift it?" A surge of skepticism flooded Uni's mind as they glanced at the staff before them.
On the other side, Wukong was laughing internally as he was aware that its weight surpassed that of 85 fully grown elephants, deeming the task impossible.
Yet, to their absolute astonishment, Uni picked up the staff & found himself effortlessly swinging the staff around, defying the laws of physics as if the weight of the world had been stripped away.
In that awe-inspiring moment, Wukong's smile broadened, a mixture of admiration and mischief dancing in his eyes, as he realized the extraordinary potential residing within Uni. "Interesting...Very interesting."
Unfazed by what Wukong was muttering, Uni was having a blast swinging around this divine staff that he found out was called (Jingu). He thought back to when Jingu shrunk down & Uni wondered how that was possible, so he questioned Wukong.
"Hey, Wukong. How did this thing shrink? Do you have some secret control over it or what?" Finally putting an end to his ceaseless muttering, Wukong plopped down on the fluffy clouds, signaling Uni to do the same. "Well, It's something like that. I possess the ability to manipulate Jingu, but it's not as though I can control it from a distance. I can only alter its length and width when I make direct contact with Jingu."
After hearing those words, Uni's gaze went back to the Jingu, with curiosity dancing in his eye's. "So could I do the same?" Uni inquired as he gently lifted himself off the fluffy cloud.
Gazing up at Uni, Wukong responded, "I'm not entirely sure. Jingu has never responded to anyone besides me. However, you're welcome to give it a try. To initiate a transformation, simply concentrate on how you want it to change."
Uni's eyes widened with anticipation as he took a deep breath, focusing his thoughts on the Jingu. With each heartbeat, he visualized the staff transforming in his mind's eye, willing it to change its shape and size. As he reached out, his fingertips made contact with the divine relic.
A surge of energy coursed through Uni's veins as he concentrated on his desired outcome. The staff quivered before beginning to ferociously shake. Panic permeated Uni as the Jingu suddenly catapulted forward, elongating and expanding at an alarming rate. His fingers slipped from its surface, his attempts to stop the staff were in vain. In a matter of moments, the once miniature Jingu grew to a colossal size, propelling Uni with unimaginable force.
"STOOOOOOPPPPPP!" Uni's voice echoed through the air, desperate and filled with terror. Tears streamed down his face, his wide eyes unable to close as the powerful acceleration subjected him to intense G-forces.
The world around him became a blur as Uni's body was flung through the air at astronomical speeds. Thoughts raced through his mind, wondering if he would survive this terrifying ordeal. With every fiber of his being, Uni desperately shouted, "SHRINK! SHRINK! SHRINK! SHRINK! SHHHHHHRINK!" His voice strained against the overwhelming forces.
And then... the Jingu miraculously stopped. "I'm alive! I'M ALIVE!" Uni exclaimed, pinching himself to assure he wasn't in the afterlife. The Jingu was now a colossal pillar piercing the sky. After the adrenaline began to subside, Uni stood up, a sense of vertigo washing over him as he walked towards the edge of Jingu. His eyes widened in astonishment as they took in the jaw-dropping height from which they were suspended above the ground.
Feeling a surge of fear creeping in, Uni quickly retreated from the edge and found his way back to the center of Jingu. He carefully settled himself down, their gaze fixed on the distant horizon.
In the midst of his gazing, a familiar rumbling sound echoed through the air, causing Uni's heart to skip a beat. He recognized it instantly—it was the sound of Jingu shifting and moving once again. This time, however, it was different. It was shrinking.
Apprehension filled Uni as they watched Jingu undergo this transformation, but while this was occurring, a sudden white flash caught their attention, zooming past their vision with incredible speed. Intrigued, Uni swiftly turned his head in the direction of the movement. To their surprise, a familiar monkey, adorned in gleaming armor, floated on a cloud before them.
"HEY KID, YOU SURE ARE AN INTERESTING ONE." Wukong's voice rang out.
Wukong's playful demeanor remained unchanged as he called out, "YA NEED SOME HELP?" His words carried a casual tone while Uni was barely standing on the shrinking pillar. Desperation once again filled Uni as he called out to Wukong, "COULD YOU JUST HELP ME." his feet were slipping on the shrinking Jingu, and panic consumed them. In stark contrast, Wukong appeared utterly unfazed, nonchalantly sitting on his cloud. Finally Wukong turned his head, only to say something to Uni. "Hey, Boy. I won't be able to talk to you for a while ok. So go get stronger. It is impossible for the inheritor of the Great Sun Wukong to be a weakling. Now get out of my sight."
With no time to analyze his proclamation, Uni was now in a free fall from the sky, Uni's voice filled with desperation, "WUKOOOOOOOONG! HELLLLLLLLLLPP MEEEEEEEE!" Five seconds passed in agonizing silence, amplifying Uni's despair. It was then he realized that Wukong remained seated on his cloud, seemingly unaffected. Anger surged within Uni, cursing the monkey under his breath.
Gazing down, Uni saw the ground rapidly approaching, and their futile attempts to locate something to break his fall proved fruitless. Overwhelmed by a sense of helplessness, Uni resigned themselves to fate. "This is how I die," he thought, accepting the impending impact.
Yet, to his astonishment, the impact never came. Instead he found himself on a bed panting profusely. Looking around, Uni knew he was back in his room. "I'm back... but how? Was that even real?"
Just as he pondered his bewildering experience, a peculiar sight materialized before him. A holographic screen hovered in mid-air, captivating his attention with its ethereal glow. Subsequently, Uni heard a strange voice ring through his ears.
